|Bus trip round the Ards Peninsula
Today we went on a bus trip round the Ards Pennisula taking in all the views and stopping off at a few places.
We set off at half 10 and headed for Harrisons Garden Centre in Greyabbey where we all got off the bus and head into the cafe for tea and shortbread. Whilst we where there the residents took a look around the garden centre and most made use of the outside seating area where they took in the lovely view. We then set off on a drive to the Salt Water Brig where we were going for lunch. We arrived there at half one. Once everyone was seated inside the staff began bring out lunch. On the menu for lunch there was roast beef, chicken or salmon cakes and for desert there was pavlova, chocolate fudge cake or banoffee pie. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the staff in the Salt Water Brig where brilliant. We took the seaside route home and the residents where commenting on the lovely view they had from the bus. We arrived back at Towell House at 5pm. A fantastic day was had by residents and staff.
